Celeia Hops: Profile & Substitutions
Description
Celeia was bred at the Hop Research Institute in Zalec, Slovenia by Dr. Dragica Kraij from Styrian Golding and an unknown Yugoslavian male hop. Similar to Saaz for quality of aroma but the potential for high yield but not grown widely due to lack of brewer acceptance. Sister to Cerera.
Although very similar in name and character to Styrian Celeia, it seems they are different due to their breeding history.
