Glacier was bred by Washington State University from Elaser by the United States Department of Agriculture. It has heritage of Brewer's Gold, Northern Brewer, among many others (Elsasser, Bullion, Early Green and East Kent Golding. It was released commercially in 2000. A popular hop due to low cohumulone content and high yield.
